Mobile Crisis Response is comprised of teams of mental health and addictions clinicians and police officers who are trained to respond together to mental health and/or addictions related calls for service.
The purpose of an MCR team is to deliver crisis intervention services directly to individuals in the community, thereby helping to divert them from emergency departments and the criminal justice system.
In the Labrador-Grenfell Zone, MCR is available seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. â 10:00 p.m. in Labrador City/Wabush and Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
