If you or your family need to travel for health care, there are accommodation options available to support you while receiving care.
Please note: This list includes a limited selection of accommodations operated by NL Health Services and its partner organizations.
Metro area
If you are travelling to St. John’s for health services, several accommodations options are available.
We operate Extended Stay St. John’s, a low-cost accommodation option, and work with partner organizations like Daffodil Place and Ronald McDonald House.
Extended Stay St. John’s

Rates:
- Single room rate: $38 per night (one-person occupancy)

Shuttle service:
- On-demand shuttle service to the Health Sciences Centre.
- Operations Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (excluding public holidays)
Parking:
- Free for guests
- Free shuttle services to the Health Sciences Centre
- Personal vehicles must use public paid parking lots.

Corner Brook area
Western Memorial Regional Hospital Hostel Services
Hostel services at Western Memorial Regional Hospital provide accommodations for patients and clients receiving treatment or awaiting admission.

- There are 7 (seven) rooms in total:
- Four single rooms (1 bed)
- Two double rooms (beds)
- One single room (1 bed and accessible pullout)
Shuttle service:
- Shuttle service available upon request for medical appointments and must be requested upon booking.
Rates:
- Single occupancy: $25 per night
- Double occupancy: $35 per night
- Payment required check-in.
Hours:
- Check-in: 4:00 p.m. or later
- Check-out: 11:00 a.m.

Corner Brook Community Health Centre

Guidelines for room accommodations:
- Available to out-of-town patients, family and patient escorts.
- Stays must be related to a hospital or health-related appointments.
Visitors staying due to hospitalized family members or loved ones must check for availability upon arrival. Preference is given to patients.
- Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
- Guests are responsible for damages and additional cleaning fees
Booking information:
- Regular hours: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- After hours bookings: Approved by Clinical Site Manager through the switchboard.
St. Anthony area
Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital Client Accommodation
Our hostel services are available for patients with hospital appointments or day surgery, pre-natal clients and for relatives of hospitalized clients.

- Seven (7) hostel units
- Full kitchen or kitchenette in each unit
- Private bathroom, cable TV and telephone
Rates:
- Bedsitters/one-bedroom: $45 per night
- Two-bedroom/shared units: $30 per room per night
- Shared kitchen, living room and bathroom.
Office hours:
- Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Sunday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- If arriving outside office hours, keys can obtained from Room 4 in the Ambulatory Care/Emergency Department. Payment must be made the following morning.
Hours:
- Check-in: 10:00 a.m.
- Late check-out: Available upon request (extra fee of $20 applies if not approved).
- Please call the Admitting Department, extension 7353 or 7207.
Booking:
- Due to limited space, accommodations cannot be confirmed until the day of arrival.
- Call the Admitting Department at 709-454-0353 before arriving in St. Anthony.
Meals:
- Available for purchase at the hospital cafeteria
- Monday to Friday, from 7:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
Rules and regulations
We kindly ask all visitors to follow the rules and regulations in place to ensure a welcoming and respectful environment for everyone. If these guidelines are not followed, future visits may not be permitted. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
- Alcohol or illegal drugs are strictly prohibited. Individuals under the influence of alcohol, drugs or displaying abusive behaviours will be asked to leave immediately.
- Smoking is not permitted in any of the units. Individuals not complying with this policy will be asked to leave immediately and a cleaning charge of $100 will be applied.
- Pets are not permitted.
- Accommodations are scent-free.
- Noise levels must be kept low, especially after 11:00 p.m.
- The number of clients/visitors staying in a unit must not exceed occupancy limits.
- Guests are provided with linens to match the official occupancy of the unit. For those clients with an extended stay, fresh linen is available upon request by calling extension 7266.
- Guests are responsible for turning off all appliances and keeping the room tidy. Failure to comply will result in a damage/cleaning charge of $100.
- Guests are responsible for the safekeeping of their own valuables. Contact the Admitting Department if you wish to lock your money or valuables in the safe.
- Check out time is 10:00 a.m. When checking out, please return the key to the Admitting Department. Failure to comply will result in a replacement charge of $20. A late check-out may be requested by contacting the Admitting Department. Failure to comply will result in an extra $20 late charge.
- Please close all windows and doors when you leave. Windows must remain closed during winter to prevent radiators from freezing.
